Feel about yourself! (part 2)

So, we are continuing the topic Feel good about yourself. So think about this a second, picture Jesus dieing on the cross. You know who Jesus died for? You, me,everyone in the whole world, and so if he died on the cross for you, so you would not go to hell if you believe in him then who cares what others think. God loves you so so much. It says in Jeremiah 31:13 I have loved you with an everlasting love. A love that goes on forever!

Feel good about yourself! (part 1)

Have you ever been in a play? A Christmas play maybe? Well, my church and I are working on a Christmas play together. I am playing the part of Mary!:) But Joseph is a fourteen year old boy who is way way taller than me. (just so you know I am short). I feel sort of sad because well, my mom said it looks stupid (me and him standing beside one another) because of the height difference. I decided that I will wear high heels to make me look taller for the play. But, on the inside I feel like someone else should be Mary instead of me because it looks like I am Josephs kid instead of his wife! But it says here in 1 Timothy 4:12 not to look down on yourself because you are young but be an example to the believers. So if your short or have really messy hair or glasses or braces or any thing that you might look down on or not feel good about remember that verse. I also have another thing, people and kids think I am younger than I really am. Like for instants I am in sixth grade and people treat me like a third grader or the high schoolers at my church if they don’t know me then they treat me like I’m in elementary school. ( theres nothing wrong with elementary school children it just gets a little annoying when your in middle school and people think your in elementary.) It says here in Luke 6:31 to do unto others as you would have them do to you. So don’t get mad if someone treats you bad just remember Matthew 5:38 – 48 which says     38“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’h 39But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. 40And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. 41If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. 42Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.43“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbori and hate your enemy.’ 44But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Lets use our talents for Gods glory!

Have you ever been a cheer leader ? I am a cheerleader! Cool right? Well I cheer for the clinton tigers. We are a christian cheerleading squad! If we win we give God the glory, if we lose we praise God, we pray before every competition and every practice, we do devotionals too! You know the Bible tells us in Matthew 5:16 to let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father which is in heaven. That means to use whatever talents God has given you and glorify him with them! Like if you are a good singer you can sing songs to him,or maybe if you like to draw draw pictures about Jesus,or heaven ,or about the cross ,or maybe if your a good dancer then you could dance to christian music. And the list goes on and on.God has given each and every one of us talents and we should use our talents to glorify, praise, honor, thank, exalt, etc God!
