The mountains (3 topics)

Sorry for not posting lately. My family and I just got back from the Blue Ridge Mountains. My, they were beautiful. It rained a lot and it was nice outside. Not like 90 degree weather but not like 60 degrees either. It was in between 70-80 degrees. Nice weather. You don’t sweat and you don’t need a long sleeves shirt either. (If you are wondering why I have the same pics as it’s because we are sisters!)

#1  Anyways, we swam in a lake called Mirror Lake. Guess what we found? Sea shells and a clam! Now how would a clam and seashells get on top of a mountain? They couldn’t have put them there because lakes don’t have seashells just seaweed. And a clam! Seriously, they definitely did not put that in a lake! So, how did it get there? Easy. A global flood. The flood probably washed the clams unto the mountain. But, that happened thousands (Not millions!) of years ago, how can there still be clams their? Clams can reproduce. So the clam we found probably was the great great great great great great great great etc. grand clam of the clams that were first washed unto the mountain. I am not making this up. One of the missionaries that comes to our area to teach V.B.S has a mother who went to Death Valley. Guess what she found there? Sea shells.

#2 Okay, now I am switching to a whole different topic. In Matthew and in Luke it talks about if you have faith as small as a mustard seed…….  Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Jesus was not saying that if you said “Hey Blue Ridge Mountain get up and move to New York City!” it would move. He meant, you have struggles in your life. Mountains of fear, anger, hurt, stress etc. He was saying that you can say ex. “stress get out of my life. I have faith that Jesus will help me move this mountain”. And it will move. Only if you have faith, and no doubt! Doubt don’t come from the Lord it comes from the enemy, Satan. James 1:17 Every good and perfect girft cometh from the Father above.

#3 So your probably thinking “Man, I want to see a picture of those mountains her family went too.” Well, the pictures are down below. But, just think for a second. Mountains are beautiful and breathtaking, right? If mountains are so beautiful right now; how do you think they will look when the Lord makes the Earth new again?

This is the cabin we stayed in; Laurel Woods Lodge. I highly recommend it.

This is Chimney Rock. We climbed almost the whole mountain to get to stand and site see off of it. Usually it has a elevator that you can use to get to the top; without climbing! But, it was broken so we had to climb 2,380 feet above sea-level  to get to it! Then we decided to climb another 100 feet to see a higher few of the valley.

This is the 404 foot waterfall on the Hickory Nut Falls Nature trail. P.s this is not a very good picture there is a lot of the waterfall cut off.

This is part of Lake Lure with the mountains in the background.

There is a song that goes like this.. “God made the mountains tops and God made the trees. God made the fish that swim in the seas. God made the birds that fly and God made the bees. Buzzzzzz. But! The best of it all, the thrill of it all is that God made me!”

Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.

John 1:3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth.

Genesis 1:10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handy-work.
