I encourage you to start a “prayer notebook”.
Just by a notebook from the store, and if you want you can get those sticky tabs that separate different sections.
I would suggest separating your notebook into 5 sections.
- Prayers about myself
- Prayers about others
- Prayers about other things
- Bible Verses
Now, write prayers in it. Prayers of uplifting, prayers of peace, of hope, of healing. Write bible verses in it. Ones to go along with your prayers, or just to have in there so you can read them.
If you have a little trouble getting started, here are some ideas.
Write prayers in areas on your life, spiritual, and physical.
Write prayers in areas on your family’s lives.
Pray for your friends.
Pray for your needs.
Pray for our nation (and my, does America need prayer more than ever!)
Write bible verses to go along with your prayers.
Once, you feel that everything that you want to pray about is on that notebook (your heart should feel much lighter) pray each day about these requests. And, when God answers a request check it off, and write a praise report in your “Praise section” of your notebook.
In one months time look at your prayers, and see how many prayers God has answered.
I encourage you to do this, it will help you in your everyday life, and your prayer life!
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
