Prayer

Is there anything you want me too pray about? Is there someone in your family who is sick?, Do you want me too pray for someone to come to know the Lord Jesus? etc.

Whatever it is you would like me too pray about I will. If you don’t feel comfortable about sharing your prayer request you can just say “i have an unspoken” or “pray for me” down on the contact form. Don’t be ashamed to ask for prayer, we all need prayer, everyday. You could also share praise reports of what God has done in your life! Praise reports make a person want to jump for joy, to see what the Lord has done in someone’s life! Please, I will be more than happy to pray for whatever you write down.

The bible says in 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves are pray and seek my face, then I shall hear from heaven and I will forgive there sin and heal their land.

The bible also says in Matthew 18:20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Some people think that God don’t hear or answer prayers. God does hear your prayers. No matter where you are at, or what you have done God hears your prayers.

Matthew 21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

So, when you pray you have to believe that God will answer your prayers. You can’t think or even say something like “God won’t answer” or “Well, he might heal me”. You have to have believe that he will heal you. Jesus said” that if you have faith as small as a mustard seed (which is super tiny by the way) you can say to that mountain move, and it will move.” He isn’t talking about a real mountain, but a spiritual mountain. A mountain of fear, unbelief, scared etc. When you pray you must believe with your whole heart that he will answer.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Mark 11:24 is telling us that when we pray, believe that you have received it and, it will be yours. When my family prays, we ask God for our needs, we thank him for how awesome he is, and then we say “thank you for answering, and by faith we receive this.” Then we say “In your name we pray, Lord Jesus, Amen!”

In James 4:3 It says you ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly to spend it on your passions. So, that means don’t ask God for a lot of money or to win the lottery etc. Because you are praying for your passions.

God’s timing is not your timing. God always answers prayers. He either says, no, wait, or yes. But he always answers them. His timing is not your timing. If he don’t answer right away just know that he loves you. And that everything he does is for a reason. You are loved by God and he wouldn’t do anything to hurt you. Everything he does is to draw you closer to Christ, draw someone to Christ, or to glorify his name. God answers prayers. There is a song that goes like this “sometime God answers yes, when I pray. Sometime God answers wait when I pray. Sometime God answers no; just because he loves me so. But, I know God answers when I pray.”

Matthew 7:7 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Here is a model prayer that Jesus prayed. After this manner is how we should pray.

Matthew 6:9-13 “And his manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”

Now don’t think I’m giving you a bunch of rules on how to pray. I’m just telling you that God answers prayers, not to pray on your passions, and to believe that he will answer them.

I have a prayer at bedtime and when I eat, that is pretty much the same everyday. But, I shouldn’t pray the same thing every single day. Why? Because God likes it when we pray. He listens to our prayers, but, he loves it even more when we stop and take time out of our day to pray. Thanking God, praising his name, and asking for things. He loves it when it isn’t just a ritual, he wants our prayers to come from our heart.

And, don’t think of prayer as “do I have to?” or “I’ll make it short” This is quality time between you and God. Pour out your heart to him, he listens intently. He loves you so much. Pray, thank God for everything, praise his name, and ask for your needs. Pray.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 John 4:15-16 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

Isaiah 65:24 Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.

James 4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.

Matthew 21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves are pray and seek my face, then I shall hear from heaven and I will forgive there sin and heal their land.

Matthew 7:7 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours

If you would like me too pray for something or for you; just tell me. May God Bless you.
