My blog’s 4th anniversary

Where does the time go? I started http://www.cupcakegirl10.wordpress.com 4 years ago on December 9th, 2014. And now it’s almost 2018! *screams a little inside*

This blog has come along way since it first started…..*flashback*

cupcakegirl10

I started out wanting to write about my dream cupcake bakery, henceforth, the name cupcakegirl10. When I was little that was my dream. I just loved baking and dreaming about my future cupcake shop. Nowadays I’m more into music and that dream really isn’t accurate anymore.

But, soon I felt the Holy Spirit leading me to change my blog. To something honoring to God. So, I changed it too, The Work Of Thy Fingers. I talked about God’s amazing creation. for about 6 months. But the more I kept writing the more I realized I was really talking more about humans and our walk with Jesus than animals. And I felt God leading me to change my name once again. I prayed and asked God what I should name my new blog. He led me to the name Bible Talk. And that’s the name I’ve stuck with for the past 3 years.

I’ve kept the name cupcakegirl10 over the years because I want to remind myself what God has done for me and how he’s blessed this blog.

Thank you to the 170 people who have followed along with me and still continue to.

And special thanks to all who have encouraged me with comments, Kaylatot, Rachel Vincent, Ashly Vye, Hannah, and many more.

I hope you find encouragement in my blog posts. But, just know that what I write comes from the LORDand not me.

I pray this blog has been a blessing to all of you and I pray it will continue to be a blessing to you.

God bless!

2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, [and] prepared unto every good work. God has made me a willing vessel, and he has used me, for his use, to tell others about him.

My blog’s 3rd anniversary

Today is my 3rd anniversary with wordpress.com! I started this blog on December 9th, 2013, and now it’s almost 2017!

All my posts were inspired by Jesus Christ. My blog has come along way since it first started.

I started out wanting to write about my dream cupcake bakery, henceforth, the name cupcakegirl10. When I was little that was my dream. But not really anymore. I enjoy baking, but I don’t want to make a job out of it.

But, then I felt the Holy Spirit leading me to change my blog. To something honoring to God. So, I changed it too, The work of thy fingers. I talked about God’s amazing creation. Then, I started writing things that were not just about God’s creation, though a very good topic, I started writing about Jesus in our everyday lives.

I prayed and asked God what I should name my new blog. He led me to the name Bible Talk. Let’s talk about the B.I.B.L.E and J.E.S.U.S!

I thank all 130 followers for following. Thank you for wanting to learn more about Jesus.

And special thanks to all who have encouraged me with comments.

December 7, 1941

“Yesterday, December 7, 1941 — a date which will live in infamy — the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.”~ President Franklin D. Roosevelt

74th anniversary of the Attack on Pearl Harbor.

Today we remember the 2,343 men who were killed, the 1,272 were wounded and the 960 left missing, on December 7, 1941.

December 7, 1941 is a day that started out fine for the men at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, most of them who were still asleep,  but it turned into one of the most horrible days in history.

Japan bombed the U.S naval base, in Pearl Harbor, the first plane attacking at 7:53 am. The second at 8:55. By 9:55 it was all over.

3 ships had been sunk. The USS Arizona, the USS Oklahoma, and the USS Utah. Many ships and planes were damaged, as well.

And, many died, were wounded, or were lost in all of this.

But, the men died while serving our country. They put others before themselves. Some men helped other men escape, knowing that they couldn’t make it out too. They definitely did what Philippians 2:3 says..Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

The USS Arizona memorial holds millions of visitors each year. All remembering the ones who perished.

The oldest survivor died at 100 years old. On February 4, 2015.

Though, this happened 74 years ago, we still need to take time to thank them.

Thank-you to all the men who served or died in the Pearl Harbor attack. May God Bless you greatly!!!

Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

1 Peter 4:10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:

Galations 5:13-14 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

100 posts!

Today, I have officially posted 100 posts on this blog. All my posts were inspired by Jesus Christ. My blog has come along way since it first started.

I started out wanting to write about my dream cupcake bakery, henceforth, the name cupcakegirl10. But, then I felt the Holy Spirit leading me to change my blog. To something honoring to God. I prayed and asked God what I should name my new blog. He led me to the name Bible Talk. Let’s talk about the B.I.B.L.E and J.E.S.U.S!

When I changed the name of my blog, I was always worried about followers. I always wanted to have lots of followers. I started to get weary that only a few people were following my blog. But, I prayed and the Lord helped me let go of that. Now, the Lord has blessed my blog, and he has given me 83 followers! I’m not boasting at all, I am thanking Jesus for the people he has allowed to come into my life, so that I can share Jesus with them.

God knew the plans he had for me. Jeremiah 29:11  For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. He knew that I was going to start this blog, even before I knew it.  2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, [and] prepared unto every good work. God has made me a willing vessel, and he has used me, for his use, to tell others about him!

Thank you to all who follow my blog, and I hope you find encouragement in my blog posts. But, just know that what I write comes from the LORD and not me.
