Happy 1st day of Spring!(only N.H)

Celebrate God’s amazing creation, Spring!

Genesis 1:31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning–the sixth day.

Genesis 1:12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Winter

Special thanks to http://www.leesbird.com for the beautiful video about God’s creation in the season, winter.

Psalm 74:17  It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter.

The mountains (3 topics)

Sorry for not posting lately. My family and I just got back from the Blue Ridge Mountains. My, they were beautiful. It rained a lot and it was nice outside. Not like 90 degree weather but not like 60 degrees either. It was in between 70-80 degrees. Nice weather. You don’t sweat and you don’t need a long sleeves shirt either. (If you are wondering why I have the same pics as www.pineappletot.wordpress.com it’s because we are sisters!)

#1  Anyways, we swam in a lake called Mirror Lake. Guess what we found? Sea shells and a clam! Now how would a clam and seashells get on top of a mountain? They couldn’t have put them there because lakes don’t have seashells just seaweed. And a clam! Seriously, they definitely did not put that in a lake! So, how did it get there? Easy. A global flood. The flood probably washed the clams unto the mountain. But, that happened thousands (Not millions!) of years ago, how can there still be clams their? Clams can reproduce. So the clam we found probably was the great great great great great great great great etc. grand clam of the clams that were first washed unto the mountain. I am not making this up. One of the missionaries that comes to our area to teach V.B.S has a mother who went to Death Valley. Guess what she found there? Sea shells.

#2 Okay, now I am switching to a whole different topic. In Matthew and in Luke it talks about if you have faith as small as a mustard seed…….  Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Jesus was not saying that if you said “Hey Blue Ridge Mountain get up and move to New York City!” it would move. He meant, you have struggles in your life. Mountains of fear, anger, hurt, stress etc. He was saying that you can say ex. “stress get out of my life. I have faith that Jesus will help me move this mountain”. And it will move. Only if you have faith, and no doubt! Doubt don’t come from the Lord it comes from the enemy, Satan. James 1:17 Every good and perfect girft cometh from the Father above.

#3 So your probably thinking “Man, I want to see a picture of those mountains her family went too.” Well, the pictures are down below. But, just think for a second. Mountains are beautiful and breathtaking, right? If mountains are so beautiful right now; how do you think they will look when the Lord makes the Earth new again?

This is the cabin we stayed in; Laurel Woods Lodge. I highly recommend it.

This is Chimney Rock. We climbed almost the whole mountain to get to stand and site see off of it. Usually it has a elevator that you can use to get to the top; without climbing! But, it was broken so we had to climb 2,380 feet above sea-level  to get to it! Then we decided to climb another 100 feet to see a higher few of the valley.

This is the 404 foot waterfall on the Hickory Nut Falls Nature trail. P.s this is not a very good picture there is a lot of the waterfall cut off.

This is part of Lake Lure with the mountains in the background.

There is a song that goes like this.. “God made the mountains tops and God made the trees. God made the fish that swim in the seas. God made the birds that fly and God made the bees. Buzzzzzz. But! The best of it all, the thrill of it all is that God made me!”

Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.

John 1:3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth.

Genesis 1:10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handy-work.

Genesis 1:1….. God created the heavens and the earth!

Psalm 33:6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.

Genesis 1:14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years,

Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

Isaiah 40:26 Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name, by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power not one is missing.

John 1:3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made

Job 26:7 He stretches out the north over the void and hangs the earth on nothing.

Psalm 8:3-4 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?

Genesis 1: 3-9 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. And God said, “Let there be an expanse[a] in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” And God made[b] the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so. And God called the expanse Heaven.[c] And there was evening and there was morning, the second day. And God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry land Earth,[d] and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

Job 38:31-32 KJV Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?

Job 38: 31-32 NIV Can you bring forth the constellations in their seasons or lead out the Bear with its cubs?

Definitions:  #1 Pleaides=group of 7 stars, constellation, otherwise know as the 7 sisters.

#2 Orion= a constellation that looks like a hunter, you can find it in the nighttime sky if you look for the three stars that make up his belt.

#3 Bear= Ursa major, otherwise know as the big dipper.

#4 Cubs= Ursa minor, otherwise know as the little dipper.

#5 Mazzoroth– It means the zodiac. NOT the zodiac signs. That is fortune telling. If you say your… ex. Gemini than that means you will have a long life or something. Another name for it is your horoscope. Only God can see the future so don’t go using the constellations as fortune telling tools. I repeat DON’T GO USING THE CONSTELLATIONS FOR FINDING YOUR HOROSCOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONLY GOD AND GOD ALONE CAN SEE THE FUTURE!!!!

#5 (continued) Mazzoroth -The meaning is a group of constellations called the zodiac. The zodiac is a group of constellations~Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces.

There are some points I would like to make here….

#1 God made the planets, galaxies, stars, everything!! How do we know this? Because the bible says so. God is talking to Job in Job 38:4 saying Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. That I in bold is God. God laid the foundations of the Earth! God made everything.

#2 We know there is constellations and galaxies, and planets, and heaven because the bible says so. In Genesis 1:1 the very beginning of the bible it says In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

#3 Evolution is false. I mean in the very first book of the bible it says God created the heavens and the Earth. Natura non facit saltum- was quoted by Issac Newton which means Nature does not jump. Nature could not have jumped its self  into existence. There was no big bang expect for when God said Let there be____ and Bang there it was. We didn’t evolve from an ooze either. It specifically says in Genesis 1:26 Let us make man in our own image. Who is us? God the father, God the son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit, three but yet one. If we evolved from monkeys then why are there monkeys today. Same thing with birds, reptiles etc. I mean babies are being born everyday! In the beginning GOD Created the heavens and the earth.

Like the song goes… “More than a million, trillion stars, lighting up the night. Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars, oh what a sight! The splendor of the universe can’t compare to what we are going to see when we get there. (heaven). To heaven, heaven, heaven, is a free gift. To heaven, heaven, heaven, is a free gift.  You can go but, you can’t pay and it could happen any day! To heaven, heaven, heaven, is a free gift!”

Veggies, fruits, and herbs. God made them very good!

Some of my favorite fruit smoothies are made of raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and pomegranate.  Yum, delicious! 🙂 We can get a lot of info out of 3 verses!

In Genesis 1:11-13 It says…

And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after it’s kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day.

#1 So that means a banana tree can’t produce squash. It means a blueberry bush can’t produce raspberries, it means a squash plant can’t produce a pumpkin! Why? Because it says in Genesis 1:12 and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after it’s kind.

#2  It says and there was evening and the morning the third day. How long is a day? It is evening and morning, 24 hours. So God created fruits, vegetables, herbs etc. on the 3rd 24 hour day.

#3  Fruits, vegetables, and herbs taste good right? Grass looks pretty right? So, God must have good taste in fruits to make them so good! You might ask why did God make lemons and limes if he has good taste, they’re so sour!? Well, maybe God knew that we would use them to make lemonade and limeade! And some people like eating lemons too! (like me!) He made grass pretty to so he must like pretty things! And look at all the colors he made the fruit and veggies he must like color too!

God made the fruits and vegetables and he made them very very good! Am I right?

Comment down below what your favorite fruit, and vegetable is! 🙂 😉

Wow! Look at the icebergs God made.

Aren’t these pics beautiful? God made the icebergs so beautiful, he also made the plants, trees, birds, fish, land animals, (pretty much everything beautiful), and you too!

Striped_Bergs_1

Not exactly rare but more uncommon than not, striped icebergs have only recently caught the public eye. A recent Antarctic research expedition encountered a number of distinctly patterned icebergs in the frigid Southern Ocean, photographed for posterity by Norwegian sailor Oyvind Tangen. The flowing lines on the 150ft long by 30ft high floe above were recorded by Tangen about 1,700 miles south of Cape Town, South Africa, and 660 miles north of the Antarctic continent. Commented Tangen, “It reminds me of striped candy I bought as a child.”

Striped_Bergs_2

Humbugs are a type of hard, minty candy of English origin that typically are clear or white with chocolate-brown stripes – like the eye-catching icebergs above. The dark, earthy color of the stripes are formed either by blown dust or volcanic ash falling onto the berg’s origin glacier that is then covered by new snow, or by sediment and debris clinging to the glacier or iceberg’s underside that becomes covered by new snow or ice. As the iceberg melts, it often rotates to expose contrasting layers of ice and dirt at unusual angles.

Striped_Bergs_3c

Slightly more plentiful though just as incredible are blue-striped icebergs. While new ice usually looks white due to the effects of multitudinous microscopic air bubbles, blue ice stripes are caused by freshwater that fills cracks in ice; then freezes very quickly. Actually quite transparent, the ice looks blue because light from the blue end of the spectrum is reflected while red light is absorbed.

So-called “jade icebergs” are also formed from very old or otherwise bubble-free ice that takes on a beautiful emerald or jade green cast. Unlike blue ice formed from relatively pure frozen meltwater, green ice results when seawater freezes inside cracks beneath ice shelves. On rare occasions when a calved iceberg flips over, the verdant bands are revealed causing these bergs resemble giant spearmint candies. I think the last two pics of the “jade icebergs” look like blue jello with whipped cream on top! 🙂

Striped_Bergs_6a

Glacial ice that undergoes many freeze/thaw cycles compounded by crushing pressure from overlying ice tends to become more transparent and, at the same time, riddled with cracks and fractures. The “frozen tidal wave” above will eventually reach the ocean and beget striped jade icebergs to treat the eyes of future Antarctic voyagers and visitors. I wonder how fast that froze?

Psalm 19:1-6 How clearly the sky reveals God’s glory! How plainly it shows what he has done! Each day announces it to the following day; each night repeats it to the next.No speech or words are used, no sound is heard;yet their message[b] goes out to all the world and is heard to the ends of the earth.God made a home in the sky for the sun;    it comes out in the morning like a happy bridegroom, like an athlete eager to run a race.It starts at one end of the sky and goes across to the other. Nothing can hide from its heat.

Psalm 8:3-4 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Happy Anniversary!

Nineteen days ago was my first anniversary with wordpress.com. Have you ever wondered why my name is cupcakegirl10? Well, when I first started wordpress my intentions were to discuss my dream cupcake bakery. But I felt the Lord wanted me to change my blog. I changed it to the Work Of Thy Fingers where I talked about God’s magnificent creation. But, I ended up talking about different topics about God. So, I finally changed it to Bible Talk   Lets talk about the B.I.B.L.E!!!
