Cast your burdens on Him

Imagine this:  Once, a man was going on a journey. He carried a backpack on his back. While he walked the backpack kept getting heavier and heavier.  He kept saying “I can do it! It’s not too heavy for me. ” But, it kept getting heavier and heavier. Finally, he comes upon a cross. He decides to lay his backpack down at the cross. He is now free, no more load on his back! He dropped his backpack, his load, off at Calvary. ~Pilgrims Progress

God will let us go through things. But, he is always right there to help us when we fall.

Think of a little toddler, she wants to pick up a big rock. Her daddy comes along and says “Let me help you sweetie”, and she says “I can do it!” She picks up the rock and walks a few inches, the rock being to heavy on her. Her daddy is still walking beside her. She eventually falls down, and lets the rock go. Her dad picks her up, and also picks up the rock  for her. The little girl is us, we think we can carry our burdens, but, we need help. The daddy is God. He didn’t force the girl to let me carry it. He walked right beside her, and she chose to not let him take it for her, so she fell. The dad was right there to pick her up and carry it for her.

God is a gentle men. He won’t say “LET ME TAKE THAT NOW FOR YOU!” You have to ask him too.

Give yours burdens to Jesus before you fall. God is just waiting for you to give him your burdens. He won’t snatch them from you, you have to give them to him.

Think of a girl who is walking home from school. She is carrying her books. A boy comes up and says “I’ll take your books for you”, and he snatches them from her. The girl didn’t even ask for him to take them! God is not like that at all! He is like this:

A girl is walking home from school. A boy comes up, and starts walking beside her. He kindly asks to take her books for her, the girl replies “Sure, thank you”. He gladly takes them. God is a gentlemen.

God won’t automatically take your cares away, without you asking him. You MUST ASK HIM TOO. You have to ask him, to take them away, and he will. God is whispering “I can help you, I’ll take your burdens away.” But, some people think that they can do it by themselves.

Ask him before you fall. He will pick you up, but, you want to give your backpack to Jesus, before you fall from it’s heaviness.

Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Psalm 62:8 Trust in him at all times; [ye] people, pour out your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.

Jesus loves you! He loves you enough to take your burdens away from you. But, he wants to see that you have faith in him to do so, by you asking him to take them away. He is standing right their saying “I’ll take your cares away, I will help you”. You just have to give them to him.  He won’t snatch them from you, you must give them to him.

God is that Father who helped his daughter. He is that boy who stood there and asked to carry her books, and he didn’t snatch them.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

Psalm 62:8 Trust in him at all times; [ye] people, pour out your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.

I choose Jesus

Who will you choose? Who will you serve?

Money? A false God? Your phone? etc.

Will you serve Jesus? Will you choose Jesus?

I will choose Jesus.

What about you?

Joshua 24:15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day to everyone! Tell someone you love them like your parents or your siblings. But especially tell Jesus you love him. (Here is my post on love. Be sure to check it out.)

Just take a look at how many times God’s name and the word love is mentioned in these bible verses. The word love is mentioned 310 times in the bible. Love and God go together, because love and God are mentioned in all these verses! To make that statement true it says in 1 John 4:8 God is love!

1 John 1:9 says We love Him because he first loved us.

1 John 3:16 also says We know what love is because Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.

1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love, does not know God, because God is love.

Mark 12:30-31  says  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

John 3:16 For God so LOVED the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 John 3:1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

Psalm 136:26 Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

My mom always says “If you can’t love your brother (or sister) who you have seen how can you love God who you have not seen.” Like the song goes ……………

O how I love Jesus,
	O how I love Jesus,
	O how I love Jesus,
	because he first loved me!

So, tell someone you love them, but especially tell Jesus you love him!

Will you choose Jesus? Will you love him? Will you choose him for eternity?

Happy Valentines Day! May God Bless!

Christian based review site

Proverbs 4:23  Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Just like my good friend www.pineappletot.wordpress.com said, www.pluggedin.com is a very good christian based  review website. It tells you all the things about any movie, song, video game, and T.V show. The good and bad, christian and non-christian.

We want to keep our hearts and minds pure and clean. We don’t want to fill them with bad and non-christian thoughts, do we? God says in the bible to think on things that are honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. Out of the heart are the issues of life….- Proverbs 4:23. If your heart is full of anger and hate then it will affect your life and make you angry and have hatred toward people. If you listen to music that brings you down then you will well, be down and out, not happy at all. But we should be happy. Because if your saved there was an ….. “O happy day, happy day, Jesus washed my sin away. O happy day, happy day, I’ll never be the same. Forever I am changed.” Jesus wants you to be happy. Not happy in your money, or clothes, or things like that. He wants you to be happy in your faith in him.

Anyways, It will tell you things that the newspapers, previews etc. won’t tell you. It helped us just a few weeks ago.

We wanted to go see a movie that looked good. So, just to make we got on plugged in and found out that it had numerous things that were very very bad in it! It was PG too. So, it helps a lot so next time you want to see, get, check out etc. a movie, song, video game, or T.V show check plugged in first. 🙂

What I recommend………….

Here are some christian movies, that are really good, and that I recommend for you to see.

Courageous — It is really good for fathers and men because it explains what their role is supposed to be as fathers. Ladies you can watch it too!!!

God’s Not Dead— It is about this college boy who wants to prove that God is not dead. But he has an atheist professor who believes God is dead, and he will flunk the boy if he don’t admit that God is dead.

Do You Believe — There are many different stories being shown in this movie. Some are being persecuted for their beliefs, others are being told about Jesus. But all the stories dwindle down to one question.. Do you believe in Jesus Christ?

Facing the giants — A football coach for a high school is about to be put out of his job. The team has not won one game the whole season. He and his wife want a baby but tragic news “blows up” that hope. Their struggling  financially and they need hope. Then they find out that Jesus is their only hope and that he will help them overcome the giants of fear.

God loves us.

Ephesians 2:4-8 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

Jeremiah 31:3″I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.

1 John 4:19 We love him because he first loved us.
