A little reminder

Begin by whispering his name. As you bow to pray, as he begins to forgive your sins. Take your fears and your cares, nothing else compares to a heart that’s made new in you. Now he listening to you. You will find his promise true.

All who call on the name of Jesus. All who call will be saved. All who call on the name of Jesus, will find his love, and find his grace.

In all your troubles, fears, hopes, dreams, everyday, every night, every hour, call on Jesus. And he is there waiting, listening, and willing to help you. His promise is true.

Psalm 116:2 Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live.

Romans 10:13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

1 Chronicles 16:8a Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name;

Job 27:10 “Will he take delight in the Almighty? Will he call on God at all times?

Well, will you?

December 7, 1941

“Yesterday, December 7, 1941 — a date which will live in infamy — the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.”~ President Franklin D. Roosevelt

74th anniversary of the Attack on Pearl Harbor.

Today we remember the 2,343 men who were killed, the 1,272 were wounded and the 960 left missing, on December 7, 1941.

December 7, 1941 is a day that started out fine for the men at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, most of them who were still asleep,  but it turned into one of the most horrible days in history.

Japan bombed the U.S naval base, in Pearl Harbor, the first plane attacking at 7:53 am. The second at 8:55. By 9:55 it was all over.

3 ships had been sunk. The USS Arizona, the USS Oklahoma, and the USS Utah. Many ships and planes were damaged, as well.

And, many died, were wounded, or were lost in all of this.

But, the men died while serving our country. They put others before themselves. Some men helped other men escape, knowing that they couldn’t make it out too. They definitely did what Philippians 2:3 says..Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

The USS Arizona memorial holds millions of visitors each year. All remembering the ones who perished.

The oldest survivor died at 100 years old. On February 4, 2015.

Though, this happened 74 years ago, we still need to take time to thank them.

Thank-you to all the men who served or died in the Pearl Harbor attack. May God Bless you greatly!!!

Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

1 Peter 4:10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:

Galations 5:13-14 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Prayer Notebook.

I encourage you to start a “prayer notebook”.

Just by a notebook from the store, and if you want you can get those sticky tabs that separate different sections.

I would suggest separating your notebook into 5 sections.

  1. Prayers about myself
  2. Prayers about others
  3. Prayers about other things
  4. Praises
  5. Bible Verses

Now, write prayers in it. Prayers of uplifting, prayers of peace, of hope, of healing. Write bible verses in it. Ones to go along with your prayers, or just to have in there so you can read them.

If you have a little trouble getting started, here are some ideas.

Write prayers in areas on your life, spiritual, and physical.

Write prayers in areas on your family’s lives.

Pray for your friends.

Pray for your needs.

Pray for our nation (and my, does America need prayer more than ever!)

Write bible verses to go along with your prayers.

Once, you feel that everything that you want to pray about is on that notebook (your heart should feel much lighter) pray each day about these requests. And, when God answers a request check it off, and write a praise report in your “Praise section” of your notebook.

In one months time look at your prayers, and see how many prayers God has answered.

I encourage you to do this, it will help you in your everyday life, and your prayer life!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18  Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Pray for Paris

Gunman and bombers have just gone into several places in Paris and killed people. The death total at the moment is 158. But, the numbers change. The shooters were Arab and they yelled” alahah ark bar” before killing them. They died and unless they got saved before they died they are in hell.

Please pray for Paris, France. People need to get right with the Lord. Jesus said to his accusers before he died on the cross; “forgive them for they no not what they do”

Please  pray for Paris, France!!

I have a question for you. Is there anything you want me too pray about? Is there someone in your family who is sick?, Do you want me too pray for someone to come to know the Lord Jesus? etc. Whatever it is you would like me too pray about I will. If you don’t feel comfortable about sharing your prayer request you can just say “i have an unspoken” or “pray for me”.

The bible says in 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves are pray and seek my face, then I shall hear from heaven and I will forgive there sin and heal their land.

The bible also says in Matthew 18:20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Some people think that God don’t hear or answer prayers. God does hear your prayers. No matter where you are at, or what you have done God hears your prayers.

In James 4:3 It says you ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly to spend it on your passions. So, that means don’t ask God for a lot of money or to win the lottery etc. Because you are praying for your passions.

God’s timing is not your timing. God always answers prayers. He either says, no, wait, or yes. But he always answers them. His timing is not your timing. If he don’t answer right away just know that he loves you. And that everything he does is for a reason. You are loved by God and he wouldn’t do anything to hurt you. Everything he does is to draw you closer to Christ, draw someone to Christ, or to glorify his name. God answers prayers. There is a song that goes like this “sometime God answers yes, when I pray. Sometime God answers wait when I pray. Sometime God answers no; just because he loves me so. But, I know God answers when I pray.”

If you don’t know what to pray for or about you can pray this prayer Jesus prayed.

Matthew 6:9-13 “And his manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”

1 John 4:15-16 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

Isaiah 65:24 Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.

James 4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.

If you would like me too pray for something or for you; just tell me below in the comments. May God Bless you.

War Room (post 2)

This just in! War Room is now the #1 movie in America!

I advise you to go see it, it’s a great movie! 🙂 (I’ve seen it twice!)

It’s made over 3 million dollars. But, the makers of the movie, The Kendrick Brothers don’t make the movies for money. They make them to draw people closer to Christ, to help them get right with God.

In the movie the grandma (Mrs. Clara) has a prayer room, called her War Room. She fights all of her battles in there, by praying.

Why don’t you make a war room too? Find a closet or room where you can have privacy. Matthew 6:6- But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Then write prayers for each area of your life that your struggling with, or you just want to pray about. Write bible verses too! Tape them to your wall, and each day pray about them. Do your fighting in prayer.

Let’s just say that someone isn’t treating you right. Instead of fighting with him or her; go to your war room and do your fighting in prayer. Let God take care of the rest.                        2 Chronicles 7:14- If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. And at first 10 minutes might seem forever. But once you keep praying you won’t want to get out.

Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

2 Chronicles 7:14- if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

God bless America!

1 Timothy 2:1-4 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

God bless america:

“While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that’s free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer. ”

God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home.

God bless the U.S.A:

And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

God Bless America, My home sweet home.

Looking to Jesus.

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them

Jeremiah 17:14 – Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou [art] my praise.

Psalm 56:3 What time I am afraid I will trust in you.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

My sister (many of you may follow her blog) is having some abdominal pain lately. She is feeling like major pain! She can’t sleep at night she eats and drinks very little too. One minute she is pain and the next she is smiling ear to ear. But today things changed. She was not smiling at all even for a short while she was constantly in pain. My momma ended up taking her to the E.R to find out what’s up! My sister’s blog is called Looking To Jesus, and my she needs to look to Jesus at a time like this. My sister is the sweetest girl I know. She makes everyone laugh (that is a gift God has given her. I can’t make people laugh my jokes stink!) We call her sunshine girl, and pineappletot! But, most importantly she loves Jesus with all her heart.

God works through our prayers. If you have accepted Jesus into your heart as your Lord and savior your prayers are like a sweet smelling incense to God. Please pray for healing for my sister and pray for her to Look to Jesus for peace, strength, courage, and love.

If you would like to see her blog and maybe give her some bible verses or tell her your praying for her, her blog link is here… www.pineappletot.wordpress.com

Philippians 4:4-8

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Pray for the people of Nepal

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

This 7.6-8.1 earthquake was the worst to hit Nepal since the  1934 Nepal–Bihar earthquake. Some casualties have also been reported in the adjoining areas of India, China, and Bangladesh. Over 5,000 people were dead and most are still missing. A 15 year old boy and a toddler miraculously survived. They were found each under a big pile of rubble. The people had to dig them out with there bare hands. Please pray for the people in Nepal to get right with God and to have comfort over all their losses.

Their land destroyed.

Their houses destroyed.

Their family members dead.

This is the picture of the toddler pulled out of the rubble he is alive by the grace of God.
