Sweeter than Sweet Tea

So, I really love sweet tea. And the kind that I make is pretty sweet. ūüôā

I am sitting here drinking sweet tea as I type this post to y’all.

Did you know that Jesus is sweet? Did you know that his word’s are sweet to our soul?

The bible says in Psalm 119:103 How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

And honey is pretty sweet.

This is a great option because honey is a good lightening agent since it has a small amount of hydrogen peroxide. For this, you’ll need 2 cups of distilled vinegar and one cup of honey. You can also add 1 tablespoon of olive oil or coconut oil to nourish your hair, or 1 tablespoon of cinnamon to enhance the lightening effect. Just combine the ingredients and distribute on your hair. Wrap it up in a towel or use a shower cap, leave in for several hours, and then rinse out. The most convenient wa:

Notice the bible didn’t say sour like lemons. Because God’s word, the bible. Which are Jesus’ words, are sweet to our bodies.Like a spiritual food.

So for #1, we know that God’s word, Jesus’ words are sweet to our bodies.

#2 In Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

So, now we know that pleasant words, words that have the fruits of the spirit. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Are sweet to our soul, and healing, nourishment to our bones.

We must try to say uplifting, kind, and sweet words. Although it might be hard sometimes.

#3 Psalm 55:14 We who had sweet fellowship together Walked in the house of God in the throng.

We need a sweet fellowship. With God, with siblings, with husbands or wives, with anyone.

God wants us to have a sweet relationship with him. And others.

1 John 1:3 What we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ

#4 And if you haven’t been saved, you need to trust in Jesus. Like the song says “Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus”

Say¬†sweet words,¬†read Jesus’ sweet words, ¬†have a sweet fellowship with God and man, and if you haven’t been saved, trust in the sweet name of Jesus. These things have spiritual sweetness. And they are SO much sweeter than sweet tea.¬†

2 Corinthians 2:15 For we are unto God a sweet savour (perfume) of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish

There’s within my heart a melody
Jesus whispers sweet and low:
Fear not, I am with thee, peace, be still,
in all of life’s ebb and flow.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
sweetest name I know,
fills my every longing,
keeps me singing as I go.

Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
and to take him at his word;
just to rest upon his promise,
and to know, “Thus saith the Lord.”

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust him!
How I’ve proved him o’er and o’er!
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust him more!

1 Corinthians 13:11  Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

More about Jesus.

Jeremiah 9:23-24 Thus says the Lord: ‚ÄúLet not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.‚ÄĚ

  1. More about Jesus would I know,
    More of His grace to others show;
More of His saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me.

    • Refrain:
      More, more about Jesus,
      More, more about Jesus;
More of His saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me.
  2. More about Jesus let me learn,
    More of His holy will discern;
Spirit of God, my teacher be,
Showing the things of Christ to me.
  3. More about Jesus, in His Word,
    Holding communion with my Lord;
Hearing His voice in every line,
    Making each faithful saying mine.
  4. More about Jesus on His throne,
    Riches in glory all His own;
    More of His kingdom’s sure increase;
More of His coming, Prince of Peace.

Don’t let them silence you

Today I want to challenge all of you.

Text everyone you know: “God’s not dead he is surely alive!” or upload a photo to social media and #heissurelyalive #dontletthemsilenceyou

I did this challenge yesterday, and I got some results. Some responded by saying “Amen!”, and others didn’t respond at all. But, you are planting a seed, and God will work on their hearts.

Don’t be afraid to share Jesus with others! Speak out and share the good news! Don’t let people who don’t believe in Jesus silence you! Stand up for what you believe.

Stand up for Jesus.

God’s Not Dead 2

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I’ve been busy with Easter, and Spring Break.

Yesterday my family and I went to see God’s not Dead 2. And, it was a great movie!

Here is the movie’s description:¬†High school history teacher Grace Wesley (Melissa Joan Hart) comes under fire for answering a student’s (Hayley Orrantia) question about Jesus. When Grace refuses to apologize, the school board votes to suspend her and threatens to revoke her teaching certificate. Forced to stand trial to save her career, Grace hires young lawyer Tom Endler (Jesse Metcalfe) to defend her in court. Endler devises a powerful strategy to show the jury the historical significance of Wesley’s classroom discussion. And, Grace teaches her students in the process, to stand up for what they believe. Not to let people silence you. “God’s Not Dead he is surely alive!”

Try to go see God’s not dead 2 and if you haven’t seen God’s not dead, I suggest you go see it too! They are both great movies, and I loved them!

The old rugged cross.

1 Corinthians 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures

On a hill far away, stood an old rugged Cross
The emblem of suff’ring and shame
And I love that old Cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain

So I’ll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown

Oh, that old rugged Cross so despised by the world
Has a wondrous attraction for me
For the dear Lamb of God, left his Glory above
To bear it to dark Calvary

So I’ll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown

In the old rugged Cross, stain’d with blood so divine
A wondrous beauty I see
For the dear Lamb of God, left his Glory above
To pardon and sanctify me

So I’ll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown

To the old rugged Cross, I will ever be true
Its shame and reproach gladly bear
Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away
Where his glory forever I’ll share

So I’ll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown

I choose Jesus

Who will you choose? Who will you serve?

Money? A false God? Your phone? etc.

Will you serve Jesus? Will you choose Jesus?

I will choose Jesus.

What about you?

Joshua 24:15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

War Room (post 2)

This just in! War Room is now the #1 movie in America!

I advise you to go see it, it’s a great movie! ūüôā (I’ve seen it twice!)

It’s made over 3 million dollars. But, the makers of the movie, The Kendrick Brothers don’t make the movies for money. They make them to draw people closer to Christ, to help them get right with God.

In the movie the grandma (Mrs. Clara) has a prayer room, called her War Room. She fights all of her battles in there, by praying.

Why don’t you make a war room too? Find a closet or room where you can have privacy. Matthew 6:6-¬†But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Then write prayers for each area of your life that your struggling with, or you just want to pray about. Write bible verses too! Tape them to your wall, and each day pray about them. Do your fighting in prayer.

Let’s just say that someone isn’t treating you right. Instead of fighting with him or her; go to your war room and do your fighting in prayer. Let God take care of the rest. ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬†2 Chronicles 7:14- If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. And at first 10 minutes might seem forever. But once you keep praying you won’t want to get out.

Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

2 Chronicles 7:14- if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Christian Movies

Sorry, for not posting in over a month. It’s been busy, with school starting back and all.

The movie War Room¬†is a Kendrick Brother production.¬†It is a very good movie about prayer. It has recently came out into the theaters, and it is rated #2 in the box office! It’s ¬†a movie about prayer. Details are below

Here are links to some¬†christian movies’ trailers (please be aware that their may be some non-christian commercials playing before the trailers)…..

War Room (by the Kendrick brothers)- When Elizabeth is having trouble keeping her marriage together, an elderly woman, whom she is helping sell her house, tells her she must do her fighting in prayer; in her War Room. To stop trying to fix her marriage herself, but to let God do it.

Facing the Giants¬†(by the Kendrick Brothers)-¬†Grant Taylor, a Christian high-school football coach, gets some very bad news. Besides his and his wife’s infertility problems and not being financially stable , he faces the attempt of local parents to force the school to replace him. His team, the Shiloh Eagles, has never had a winning season in the six years that he has coached the boys. Following a visitor’s message, Grant tries to inspire his team to use faith to conquer fear and opposing teams. Grant has to face the giants of fear, while his team faces the giants football team. Both use their faith in God, to help them overcome the Giants.

Courageous(by the Kendrick Brothers)-¬†Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. When tragedy strikes home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering. Protecting the streets is second nature. Raising their children in a God-honoring way? That’s courageous.

Fireproof¬†(by the Kendrick Brothers)-¬†In the wake of his daring rescue of a complete stranger, decorated firefighter Caleb Holt realizes the extent to which he has failed as a husband. In a desperate attempt to save his relationship with his wife, Catherine, Holt turns to “The Love Dare,” a Christian self-help book. At the prompting of his devout father, John ¬†— and guided by the book itself — Holt embarks on a 40-day mission to rescue his marriage from the looming specter of divorce.

God’s Not Dead–¬†After he refuses to disavow his faith, a devout Christian student ¬†must prove the existence of God or else his atheist college philosophy professor will fail him. With a professor who wants to fail him, and a girlfriend who wants to be the most important thing in his life; how will he prove God is not dead to his class?

Do you Believe?Р7 stories, 12 lives, one question. When a pastor is shaken by the visible faith of a street-corner preacher, he is reminded that true belief always requires action. His response ignites a journey that impacts everyone it touches in ways that only God could orchestrate. But, all theses stories come down to one question. Do you believe in the cross of Christ?

Try to check out these movies some time! ūüôā

My testimony

Here’s my testimony:

It was the summer of 2009 and I was a 6 or 7 year old and I was going into the first grade. I had taken gymnastics since I was 5 years old. Gymnastics was far away from my school and where I lived. I would go out there one night a week and practice for 2 hours 5:30-7:30; after school. It was a good 45 minutes drive from my school, and since we had to travel far we went to gymnastics straight from school. It was an evening practice and I was preteam (that’s the level before you started competing)¬†so we worked hard. Even the U.S.A Olympic team had been there before! Not to practice but to watch. It’s hard for a kid to get up at 7:00 work 8 hours in school and then work hard at a evening practice for two hours. I remember that my sister, my mom, and I would always eat an Oatmeal Cream Pie on the drive home for a snack. We always had water in our cup holders in the car, and we would drink up the whole bottle! But, that’s not how this night ended.

We ate in the car on the way there. What I mean by we is my¬†mom¬†and myself. I have a brother and a sister too. But my brother was little at the time, and my sister had just completed her gymnastics class so, momma dropped her off at my aunt’s house. Since my dad had to work. Once we got there we rushed in and changed in the locker room/bathroom since we were a little late.

They called my class name and I rushed to get out on the floor since we had to do something like a role call to make sure everyone was there. Momma had forgotten to pray protection over me before I went out like she always did. I remember I was really, super tired that day and I was struggling with some moves. But I kept pushing myself. Sometime later my right¬†wrist started hurting. They had wrist braces there but I was little and too afraid to ask. Then my coach whose name was Mrs.Moe said “let’s start working on back handsprings”. I had seen older girls perform the trick before so I was looking forward to doing it. My coach got out what we called a “cheese mat” it looked like a slice of cheese. It was a slanted mat so to speak.

We started doing back handsprings one by one. But, she noticed that I was catching on the quickest. So she decided to let me try a few by myself. I did them perfectly and my coach then called over another coach who coached the older girls, to watch me. I did it and then they wanted to see it again. They gave me some pointers and I tried again. By then my wrist had started hurting worse than before. So I decided in¬†my mind “I’m going to put more weight on my left wrist so my right one won’t hurt as much”. Wrong decision.

I flipped back to do the move then “Crack” something broke. I myself didn’t hear the crack but everyone else did. Even my mom who was sitting on the other side of the room on the bleachers behind a small wall heard it. Then thinking all was well I looked around. Everyone was staring at me waiting to see what I would do. But I never cried, never yelled, never screamed, I would have never known I had broke something until I looked down at my arm.

I looked at it in tears. I wasn’t crying of pain but of shock of how it looked. It was bent. You know how your wrist bends up and down. Move your wrist into the down position and look at it. That’s how my arm looked. Now¬†grab the top of your arm close to the wrist but down some. Now imagine that looked like your wrist (still in the down position). That’s how it looked. I called it the “puppet master” don’t ask me why I guess it looked like a puppet.

Then the coaches started hurrying over to me and yelling at momma go get ice. There was a balcony with concrete stairs leading up to it where the teachers/workers ate. Momma got ice while all the coaches lay me down on the mat. They started looking at my arm. While they were helping lay me down I saw momma quick as a flash jump over the small wall that separated the bleachers/ watching area and the mat where we worked. She quickly came over with the ice and sat down next to me saying “It’s okay baby”.

Then someone asked one of my teachers to distract me so they could look at my arm. The coach whose name was Coach Jen was asking me questions like “Have you ever been to Disney World” or “Do you like Disney World think of Mickey Mouse and the rides”. But before she could finish I started saying “am I going to have to get a cast? I don’t want a cast” and I started crying. I guess I was still in shock from what happened and I wasn’t able to conceive what was happening until then. Then I heard my mom say something¬†on my left side; since my head was turned to the right to look away from my arm and at the coach trying to distract me.

I heard her question “will she have to go to the hospital?” The answer was yes. They got a jacket and put the ice in it and wrapped it around my arm. I don’t know how we got out of the building and into the car but I know as we were walking out of the building the lady who owned the place and who worked at the registration desk offered to drive us there. So momma gave her the keys to the car. I don’t remember how we got into the hatch-back¬†of the mini van,¬†but we did. Momma was holding the ice wrapped in one of my coaches¬†jacket, her name was Coach Jen. Mrs. Marilyn, was the lady’s name who owned the gym. Drove us to the hospital.

I remember feeling really, really, really tired then. Like I just couldn’t keep my eyes open. But momma kept saying “Don’t go to sleep keep your eyes open.” ¬†My body was trying to shut down since I had gotten hurt. But¬†God helped me not fall asleep by making me say “The ice is too cold on me”. Then momma replied “Honey, you have to keep it on and don’t fall asleep.” Thankfully we got to the hospital and Mrs. Marilyn told the hospital about me and my accident and they sent out a guy with a wheel chair to roll me into the hospital.

Again, I don’t remember how they got me into the wheel chair or the hospital, but I do remember that there were some children playing in the waiting room/play room with toys. I wanted to stick my tongue out at them. Since they were staring at me and I was so upset. But, the Lord helped me not to and he helped me not think things like that any more while I was there. Somehow they got me into an examination room.

A nurse walked in and put my arm on a piece of wood and looked at it. She kept turning my arm in different directions and I said “Ow” some times. Shortly after they moved me to the x-ray room. It was cold and dark and it was just the doctor and myself.

When I came out they wheeled me back to my room. Then my main coach, Mrs. Moe came in the room with momma and said to me “I brought you something”and she gave me a stuffed brown teddy bear and a princess blanket from the store. Then she gave momma a Mountain Dew. We both thanked her and then she said she had to get back to the gym since she¬†had one more class to coach.

After she left the¬†doctor talked to my momma about what was going to happen and then came to me. He showed her the x-ray and said that I had broken; not fractured, but literally snapped in two, two bones called the Ulna and the Radius. But, God protected me from having to have surgery. Because with a break like that, I could of had to have surgery to fix a torn muscle. But I didn’t have to have surgery!

The doctor told me that I was going to go to sleep and when I woke up my bone would be fixed and that I might see two of him. But, before I fell asleep my momma said she heard me say “Jesus help me, Jesus help me!” I didn’t even know I was saying it!

Momma had contacted my aunt and she told her what had happened and ¬†that we were going to be home late. Then I fell asleep tucked under the blanket I had gotten from Mrs. Moe. I remember falling asleep on my stomach and dreaming about a long yellow road with a pink background. With cars filled with animals such as hippos, elephants, and giraffes. Once I woke up I didn’t see two of the doctor! I was fine! There was no pain either.

Then I saw my arm elevated on a pillow with wrapping and bobby pin looking things to hold it together. You might ask, did you have pins in your arm? No, I didn’t thank the Lord! I had to use the bathroom really bad, but since I was hooked up to an IV bag I couldn’t move. Once the IV bag was done I was able to go.

It felt good to get out of that stuffy room and into the bathroom and out the hospital door! Momma then told me while I was asleep the doctor popped my bone back into place. She also said she was praying for me constantly. Because it looked scary to see what he had to do to fix my arm.

I don’t remember driving home but I do remember what happened once I got there. We drove to my aunt’s house, since my dad was working my aunt watched my brother and sister. When we got in the house I saw my siblings looking at me and my aunt/cousin looking too. It was late so we got in the car and drove home.

God helped me in more than one way.

#1 He helped me feel no pain when I broke my arm.

#2 He helped us get to the hospital safely.

#3 He helped me have no torn muscles. Which meant no surgery.

#4 He kept me safe while I slept.

#5 He helped me feel no pain when the doctor popped my bone back into place.

#6 He gave the doctors and nurses wisdom to know what to do to help me.

#7 I was in no pain the entire time! I needed no medication when I got home.

#8 He helped us drive home safely.

#9 He brought people (the coaches) into our lives to help us.

#10 He was with me the entire time.

Just because your situation might seem scary doesn’t mean that God isn’t there with you. He was right beside me the entire time! Proverbs 3:5 says Trust in the Lord with all thine heart! And lean not unto your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and HE shall direct thy paths! What you might think was a terrible experience, God turned out for good! When I cried out Jesus help me! Someone might have gotten right with God! Whatever you have gone through; God is with you. When everything seems hopeless; God can help you. Like Bethany Hamilton; living her life without an arm seems like a horrible experience, right? But God used it for good, for his glory. In one of her interviews, at age 13, the interviewer asked “Where do you get your hope from?” Bethany replied “I get my hope through Jesus Christ.” God used her situation for good, for his glory. She could have died, but God took care of her. If you ever question “why did this happen to me?” If you have asked Jesus to come into your heart and save you, God could have used your situation for good, for his glory! He was with you that whole time, like he was with me. Trust in the Lord with all your heart.

Jesus died on the cross for you. We were all born with a sin nature. When you were a baby and you wanted your own way, you sinned. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God – Romans 3:23. The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. –Romans 6:23. ¬†For the wages of sin is death! Our punishment for sinning should be death! But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

But God loved you so much he sent his son, Jesus to die on the cross for you – John 3:16 . To take your punishment that you and I deserve for sinning against a holy God. But, Jesus didn’t stay dead, like an ordinary person would have. He rose from the grave on the third day – 1 Corinthians 15:3. And he is in heaven now! He is offering you the free gift of eternal life with him in heaven! Instead of a place of punishment called hell where we all should be!

For that is how horrible sin is to a holy God! But, God loved you so much he sent his son to die for you! When Jesus rose from the grave he took the keys of hell with him so we won’t have to go there, but only if we believe! You can’t get saved by your own doing, or by the ten commandments! You are not your own God. God made you. Who is God you ask? He is the creator of all things plants, animals, and you! ¬†Only by Jesus Christ the Son of God can you get saved! But, Jesus is coming again! ¬†Acts 11:1 This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”¬†We must be ready for Jesus’ coming! When he comes he will get all the¬†christians all over the world! No one knows when Jesus is coming back, not even he knows when. Only God the father knows. Though, some people say” I can wait to be saved. I have time”. ¬†But how do you know you have time? You don’t know when Jesus is coming again, and you don’t know when your heart is going to stop beating.Jesus says in Revelation 3:20¬†Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.

If you would like to get saved today all you have to do is this.

A: Admit you are a sinner and that you can’t save yourself

B: Believe that Jesus is the son of God and that he died and rose again on the third day for you. And that he is in heaven now waiting for God to give the word “go”. So Jesus can come and get his bride, which is all the christians all over the world!

C: Confess that Jesus is Lord. And Choose him to be your savior and Lord. You don’t have to pray a fancy prayer to ask Jesus to come in!

If you want to be saved today pray this prayer…

Dear Jesus,

Please forgive me of my sins. Thank you for dying on the cross for me, and rising again! It says in your word that if I open the door you will come in. And Lord I do that now. I want you to come into my heart and be my savior and my Lord. Jesus please come into my heart and save me. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you for loving me.

In your name I pray, Amen

If you have received Jesus today please tell me down below in the comments. I would like to pray for you and welcome you to the family of God!
