More about Jesus.

Jeremiah 9:23-24 Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”

  1. More about Jesus would I know,
    More of His grace to others show;
More of His saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me.

    • Refrain:
      More, more about Jesus,
      More, more about Jesus;
More of His saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me.
  2. More about Jesus let me learn,
    More of His holy will discern;
Spirit of God, my teacher be,
Showing the things of Christ to me.
  3. More about Jesus, in His Word,
    Holding communion with my Lord;
Hearing His voice in every line,
    Making each faithful saying mine.
  4. More about Jesus on His throne,
    Riches in glory all His own;
    More of His kingdom’s sure increase;
More of His coming, Prince of Peace.

Don’t let them silence you

Today I want to challenge all of you.

Text everyone you know: “God’s not dead he is surely alive!” or upload a photo to social media and #heissurelyalive #dontletthemsilenceyou

I did this challenge yesterday, and I got some results. Some responded by saying “Amen!”, and others didn’t respond at all. But, you are planting a seed, and God will work on their hearts.

Don’t be afraid to share Jesus with others! Speak out and share the good news! Don’t let people who don’t believe in Jesus silence you! Stand up for what you believe.

Stand up for Jesus.

God’s Not Dead 2

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I’ve been busy with Easter, and Spring Break.

Yesterday my family and I went to see God’s not Dead 2. And, it was a great movie!

Here is the movie’s description: High school history teacher Grace Wesley (Melissa Joan Hart) comes under fire for answering a student’s (Hayley Orrantia) question about Jesus. When Grace refuses to apologize, the school board votes to suspend her and threatens to revoke her teaching certificate. Forced to stand trial to save her career, Grace hires young lawyer Tom Endler (Jesse Metcalfe) to defend her in court. Endler devises a powerful strategy to show the jury the historical significance of Wesley’s classroom discussion. And, Grace teaches her students in the process, to stand up for what they believe. Not to let people silence you. “God’s Not Dead he is surely alive!”

Try to go see God’s not dead 2 and if you haven’t seen God’s not dead, I suggest you go see it too! They are both great movies, and I loved them!

The old rugged cross.

1 Corinthians 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures

On a hill far away, stood an old rugged Cross
The emblem of suff’ring and shame
And I love that old Cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain

So I’ll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown

Oh, that old rugged Cross so despised by the world
Has a wondrous attraction for me
For the dear Lamb of God, left his Glory above
To bear it to dark Calvary

So I’ll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown

In the old rugged Cross, stain’d with blood so divine
A wondrous beauty I see
For the dear Lamb of God, left his Glory above
To pardon and sanctify me

So I’ll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown

To the old rugged Cross, I will ever be true
Its shame and reproach gladly bear
Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away
Where his glory forever I’ll share

So I’ll cherish the old rugged Cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old rugged Cross
And exchange it some day for a crown

Cast your burdens on Him

Imagine this:  Once, a man was going on a journey. He carried a backpack on his back. While he walked the backpack kept getting heavier and heavier.  He kept saying “I can do it! It’s not too heavy for me. ” But, it kept getting heavier and heavier. Finally, he comes upon a cross. He decides to lay his backpack down at the cross. He is now free, no more load on his back! He dropped his backpack, his load, off at Calvary. ~Pilgrims Progress

God will let us go through things. But, he is always right there to help us when we fall.

Think of a little toddler, she wants to pick up a big rock. Her daddy comes along and says “Let me help you sweetie”, and she says “I can do it!” She picks up the rock and walks a few inches, the rock being to heavy on her. Her daddy is still walking beside her. She eventually falls down, and lets the rock go. Her dad picks her up, and also picks up the rock  for her. The little girl is us, we think we can carry our burdens, but, we need help. The daddy is God. He didn’t force the girl to let me carry it. He walked right beside her, and she chose to not let him take it for her, so she fell. The dad was right there to pick her up and carry it for her.

God is a gentle men. He won’t say “LET ME TAKE THAT NOW FOR YOU!” You have to ask him too.

Give yours burdens to Jesus before you fall. God is just waiting for you to give him your burdens. He won’t snatch them from you, you have to give them to him.

Think of a girl who is walking home from school. She is carrying her books. A boy comes up and says “I’ll take your books for you”, and he snatches them from her. The girl didn’t even ask for him to take them! God is not like that at all! He is like this:

A girl is walking home from school. A boy comes up, and starts walking beside her. He kindly asks to take her books for her, the girl replies “Sure, thank you”. He gladly takes them. God is a gentlemen.

God won’t automatically take your cares away, without you asking him. You MUST ASK HIM TOO. You have to ask him, to take them away, and he will. God is whispering “I can help you, I’ll take your burdens away.” But, some people think that they can do it by themselves.

Ask him before you fall. He will pick you up, but, you want to give your backpack to Jesus, before you fall from it’s heaviness.

Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Psalm 62:8 Trust in him at all times; [ye] people, pour out your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.

Jesus loves you! He loves you enough to take your burdens away from you. But, he wants to see that you have faith in him to do so, by you asking him to take them away. He is standing right their saying “I’ll take your cares away, I will help you”. You just have to give them to him.  He won’t snatch them from you, you must give them to him.

God is that Father who helped his daughter. He is that boy who stood there and asked to carry her books, and he didn’t snatch them.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

Psalm 62:8 Trust in him at all times; [ye] people, pour out your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.

I choose Jesus

Who will you choose? Who will you serve?

Money? A false God? Your phone? etc.

Will you serve Jesus? Will you choose Jesus?

I will choose Jesus.

What about you?

Joshua 24:15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day to everyone! Tell someone you love them like your parents or your siblings. But especially tell Jesus you love him. (Here is my post on love. Be sure to check it out.)

Just take a look at how many times God’s name and the word love is mentioned in these bible verses. The word love is mentioned 310 times in the bible. Love and God go together, because love and God are mentioned in all these verses! To make that statement true it says in 1 John 4:8 God is love!

1 John 1:9 says We love Him because he first loved us.

1 John 3:16 also says We know what love is because Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.

1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love, does not know God, because God is love.

Mark 12:30-31  says  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

John 3:16 For God so LOVED the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 John 3:1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

Psalm 136:26 Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

My mom always says “If you can’t love your brother (or sister) who you have seen how can you love God who you have not seen.” Like the song goes ……………

O how I love Jesus,
	O how I love Jesus,
	O how I love Jesus,
	because he first loved me!

So, tell someone you love them, but especially tell Jesus you love him!

Will you choose Jesus? Will you love him? Will you choose him for eternity?

Happy Valentines Day! May God Bless!

War Room (post 2)

This just in! War Room is now the #1 movie in America!

I advise you to go see it, it’s a great movie! 🙂 (I’ve seen it twice!)

It’s made over 3 million dollars. But, the makers of the movie, The Kendrick Brothers don’t make the movies for money. They make them to draw people closer to Christ, to help them get right with God.

In the movie the grandma (Mrs. Clara) has a prayer room, called her War Room. She fights all of her battles in there, by praying.

Why don’t you make a war room too? Find a closet or room where you can have privacy. Matthew 6:6- But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Then write prayers for each area of your life that your struggling with, or you just want to pray about. Write bible verses too! Tape them to your wall, and each day pray about them. Do your fighting in prayer.

Let’s just say that someone isn’t treating you right. Instead of fighting with him or her; go to your war room and do your fighting in prayer. Let God take care of the rest.                        2 Chronicles 7:14- If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. And at first 10 minutes might seem forever. But once you keep praying you won’t want to get out.

Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

2 Chronicles 7:14- if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Christian Movies

Sorry, for not posting in over a month. It’s been busy, with school starting back and all.

The movie War Room is a Kendrick Brother production. It is a very good movie about prayer. It has recently came out into the theaters, and it is rated #2 in the box office! It’s  a movie about prayer. Details are below

Here are links to some christian movies’ trailers (please be aware that their may be some non-christian commercials playing before the trailers)…..

War Room (by the Kendrick brothers)- When Elizabeth is having trouble keeping her marriage together, an elderly woman, whom she is helping sell her house, tells her she must do her fighting in prayer; in her War Room. To stop trying to fix her marriage herself, but to let God do it.

Facing the Giants (by the Kendrick Brothers)- Grant Taylor, a Christian high-school football coach, gets some very bad news. Besides his and his wife’s infertility problems and not being financially stable , he faces the attempt of local parents to force the school to replace him. His team, the Shiloh Eagles, has never had a winning season in the six years that he has coached the boys. Following a visitor’s message, Grant tries to inspire his team to use faith to conquer fear and opposing teams. Grant has to face the giants of fear, while his team faces the giants football team. Both use their faith in God, to help them overcome the Giants.

Courageous(by the Kendrick Brothers)- Four men, one calling: To serve and protect. When tragedy strikes home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering. Protecting the streets is second nature. Raising their children in a God-honoring way? That’s courageous.

Fireproof (by the Kendrick Brothers)- In the wake of his daring rescue of a complete stranger, decorated firefighter Caleb Holt realizes the extent to which he has failed as a husband. In a desperate attempt to save his relationship with his wife, Catherine, Holt turns to “The Love Dare,” a Christian self-help book. At the prompting of his devout father, John  — and guided by the book itself — Holt embarks on a 40-day mission to rescue his marriage from the looming specter of divorce.

God’s Not Dead– After he refuses to disavow his faith, a devout Christian student  must prove the existence of God or else his atheist college philosophy professor will fail him. With a professor who wants to fail him, and a girlfriend who wants to be the most important thing in his life; how will he prove God is not dead to his class?

Do you Believe?– 7 stories, 12 lives, one question. When a pastor is shaken by the visible faith of a street-corner preacher, he is reminded that true belief always requires action. His response ignites a journey that impacts everyone it touches in ways that only God could orchestrate. But, all theses stories come down to one question. Do you believe in the cross of Christ?

Try to check out these movies some time! 🙂
